The Soweto Kinch Mixtape/Glasgow Jazz Festival

Glasgow Jazz Festival in association with 17th Letter & XVII Magazine present a Psykhomantus Music production…
The Soweto Kinch Mixtape
As part of Glasgow Jazz Festival 2012, Soweto Kinch performs one of the hip-hop events of the summer at the legendary King Tut’s, Glasgow, 27th June. The two-time MOBO award-winning, alto-sax/MC/producer/beatboxer is redefining the idea of hip-hop and jazz. Bringing an infectious swagger and rap ethos to jaw-dropping musicianship, he’s a performer that doesn’t just demand your attention but forces you to take notice.
To celebrate this event we present an exclusive free download from DJ Psykhomantus - The Soweto Kinch Mixtape. Featuring works from his five+ albums, never before heard tracks and laced with bonus interviews, it's the perfect introduction to the master of UK Jazz-Hop.
Having supported hip-hop icons like KRS One and Ty, praised by Mos Def and Rodney P, Kinch comes to Glasgow on Wednesday 27th June with his live trio. Support form Ru Pattison Quartet. Enjoy the mix, see you at the show.
