K.E.V. Only Built For Revolutionary N****'s featuring special guest RyanNicole (2012)

K.E.V. Only Built For Revolutionary N****'s featuring special guest RyanNicole

If Rakim and MC Lyte had a baby, Nu Dekades (NU10) would be its name. This dynamic dyad, comprised of 360 degree artists/activists K.E.V. (Kickin’ Every Verse) and RyanNicole, is the balm in these dry times of pop iconography and narcissism.

Nu Dekades is a group representing and keenly observant of time itself; the inevitable changes it brings about in human beings, our infrastructures, power dynamics and cultural norms...Nu Dekades are social anthropologists for hip hop, at minimum, lyrical griots at times, and at their best: human beings with a common story to tell. Current, yet timeless, Nu Dekades is instant vintage.

K.E.V.'s album, "The Project" is out now.

Paul's Nasty Check Your Head Licensed To Ill Communication To The 5 Boroughs Hot Sauce Mix-Up 2012

Paul's Nasty Check Your Head Licensed To Ill Communication To The 5 Boroughs Hot Sauce Mix-Up (Tribute to MCA)

What more can I say, I was shocked when I heard that MCA passed away last week, another great Hip Hop Icon gone due to cancer. Just like any Hip Hop fan or supporter I started reminiscing my first knowledge of the Beastie Boys and realise that "Licensed To Ill" (Def Jam 1986) was my first album I got with my own money. I was 11 yr's old then, my first Def Jam album and having something from Def Jam Records meant something back then. I've done many tribute mixtapes but this really felt different cause it really feels like I've lost someone from my Family now knowing their first album was my jump off to many albums that i have now. Beastie Boys recorded 8 albums which is why I called it "Paul's Nasty Check Your Head Licensed To Ill Communication To The 5 Boroughs Hot Sauce Mix-Up". This mixtape is mostly all their singles from "Licensed To Ill" all the way to "Hot Sauce Committee Part 2". I dedicate this Mixtape to MCA. Rest In Power

DJ Premier (Work Of Mart Edition Bonus) 2012

DJ Premier (Work Of Mart) Bonus

It's been a while since I've done a hardcore Hip Hop mix tape and no better way is to return back and add another mix of my favourite producer/DJ of all times, DJ Premier. I did a best of... DJ Premier back in 2005 (Work Of Mart) which is still a free download if you sign up with www.mixcrate.com/psykhomantus and it's a double digital mixtape. As for this Bonus mix, it just carries on from where I left the last one and focus more from 2006 to 2012 of DJ Premiers work as he still produces hardcore underground street hits. This mixtape features AZ, Blaq Poet, Bun D, Bumpy Knuckles, EdO G, Joell Ortiz, Kanye West, KRS 1, Lady Of Rage, Ludacris, MC Eiht, Nas, Nick Javas, NYG'z, Rakim, Rex, Slick Rick, Show & AG, Skyzoo, Termanology, and Torae.

This Mixtape is only made for those that can handle the hard beats and hard rhymes, not made for the weak hearted.

Son Of Dan

Former performance poet Son Of Dan is well known as one half of the London based production crew Hungry Africans. Having produced music for many of London's underground hip-hop, soul, broken beat and soulful house artists, Son Of Dan has worked with everyone from Jocelyn Brown to Lyric L. Afrobeat features heavily in his soundscapes and its his Nigerian heritage that influences the underlying feel and energy of VL's unique sound.
Check out "Psykhomantus presents Son Of Dan Vol 1 & 2" as Mantus takes you on a ride of S-O-D's gems.

Madflow is one of the stalwarts of Birmingham's hip hop community and an integral part of a core group of luminary artists, MCs & DJs from the city including Juice Aleem, Soweto Kinch, Shadowless, Kingstun, MSI & Asylum and, of course, the Substance collective. Tirelessly performing high energy P.A.s , Madflow has entertained crowds across the UK and overseas with his phenomenal beat boxing and MCing skills.
Madflow has released material on Son Records (home to artists such as Huntkilbury Finn and Pitt Man), Big Dada (Roots Manuva / TY / New Flesh) and Different Drummer (Rocker's HiFi / Overproof). However, it is Madflow's dynamic stage presence and quick witted freestyle skills that have made his name as a performer. The 5th Annual Player's Haters Ball (2012)

A Tribute to Patrice O'Neal

This was a tribute mixtape I made on in the first week of December after hearing that American stand up comedian Patrice O'Neal passing (November 29th, 2011), but as busy as December was for me, I forgot to upload it to almost losing the files untill now. I made a few tribute mixtapes last year (Gill-Scott Heron, Amy Winehouse) and felt once again to show my respect as I loved the character Pit Bull from the Player Hater's Ball on the first episode of Dave Chappelle's "Chappelle's Show". This was just a fun mixtape as I added bits from Chappelle's "Player's Haters Ball" mixing it with tracks Like Common's "Sweet" and Ludacris's "Bada Boom" (Sorry Drake, it's not you day as both tracks are dissin' you) and Kool G Rap's "Ya Chic Chose Me" (a real players track if you ask me). Glad that I find it as it almost became The Lost Mixtape. My respect goes out to the O'Neal family as we've lost a great young comedian. May you Rest In Peace.
